Xildren Synopsis
The Xildren become overlords of a futuristic society. They do so by selling cookies, chocolates and key rings door to door. The kicker is that, because of the fear of the Xildren and there mind control powers, nobody can refuse them. Their entire evil empire is funded by this cookie business, and they take control of the world. Also, because of all the cookies and chocolate, everyone becomes overweight, and thus more pliable. They are incredibly controlling of course, forcing people into colonies to farm sugar and cocoa.
Of course there must be a hero to defeat them, but this hero appears in the form of a corporate robot who’s ultimate goal is to seize a gap in the market and set up a series of weight loss clinics. He is a cynical, ultra capitalist type, wearing a suit and tie, and he also has a pony tail (very strange for a robot, I’ll grant you, but we’ll make it work). His team of good guys consists of the four or five employees he has hired to set up the first weight loss centre. These are the few who are somehow immune to the effects of the Xildren and their biscuits. They are more concerned with freeing the human race, although they have constant arguments with their employer over contractual and pay issues, as well as entitlements and so forth.
It is sad as the ultimate goal of our hero is actually his own form of ultra-corporate capitalism. He, being a robot, is only slightly interested in the survival race. He wants to free them only so he can have customers. During the “Freedom fight” he is constantly referring to market research figures and spreadsheets, as well as employing a number of business angles and theories.
We were hoping to get Mel Gibson to play the role of the Robot.
Song Lyrics
Old Shanty Town
Where the numbers aren’t so easy
And the women aren’t so queasy
We’ll be calculatin’ till the sun arrives
And we’ll chuckle till we’re jolly
But for God’s sake, don’t ask Molly
All she’ll do is break us out in hives
Repeat x 400
